Read-A-Thon!
Get lost in a good book April 10th-26th!
Students will set their own goals and challenge themselves to read as much as they can. And here's the best part: friends and family can pledge a dollar amount per minute read or a flat fee for participation.
Our Read-a-Thon not only promotes literacy and student leadership, but also celebrates our Pathfinder community! It's also our last big fundraising push of the school year. So, let's make it count!
All Readers Welcome!
Don't worry if your child isn't an independent reader yet – we've got you covered! Audio books, being read to, or reading to others all count towards the challenge. Get creative and have fun with it: read to a parent, friend, sibling, stuffed animal, or even your pet!
By participating in the Read-a-Thon, your family can help raise money for important PTSA programs, including:
Our outdoor garden classroom
Camping opportunities for all grades
Expanding our amazing library
Providing supplies for staff and more
Why is this Read-a-thon important?
We're facing a unique challenge this year. With only $22k raised towards our $120k goal, we're struggling to fund our programs for next year. In fact, it's the first time in decades that we won't be hosting an auction. That's why every dollar counts – and your child can help make a difference!
Did you know that PTSA supports over $350 in programming per student? From our garden program and camping trips (Now including IA's!) to after-school enrichment, these programs bring so much joy and value to our students.
This is Pathfinder's last opportunity to fundraise for the school year, and we want to make it a success!
HOW TO PARTICIPATE:
Register your student to track minutes and accept sponsorships! Each participant sets a goal (in minutes) to read, or be read-to, between April 10th-26th. Share an email with family and friends about how they can support you and Pathfinder. Click here for a sample email/letter. No donation is too small.
Students and their parent/guardian complete the record sheet each day or log minutes on their participant page. Record sheets, sponsorship forms, and collected pledges are submitted to the PTSA box or by emailing readathon@pathfinderk8ptsa.org by May 4th.

The Great Pathfinder Read-in Night ~ 4/23, 5pm-7pm.
A cozy, drop-off reading adventure for Pathfinder students with forts, themed literary rooms, library browsing, and pizza—all supporting the Read-A-Thon & PTSA!

Students come to school in your coziest reading outfit ~ 4/24,
Get your softest, snuggliest fit together, pour yourself a cup of tea, and celebrate the read-a-thon with your classmates!

Celebrate the Read-A-Thon finale at Ounces—family-friendly fun with proceeds supporting the PTSA!
